But after hours and hours of play, you will develop a sixth sense for when to tap and you will know exactly when to dip below an enemy plane to avoid a missile or climb above it to get back into the fray. The auto-shoot function keeps things organized and doesn't complicate your life. Once you are close enough to an enemy plane, your plane will automatically shoot it until it is destroyed. Therefore, you can focus solely on positioning your plane correctly to maximize your chances of hitting your target and avoiding damage while simultaneously managing your altitude to ensure you stay alive.

You have two goals: Stay alive. Get rid of enemy aircraft to pass the level. Dodge enemy planes and enemy projectiles. Use smart altitude changes to keep yourself safe.

When you begin, there are very few enemy planes, which gives you plenty of time to learn how the physics work and how to handle altitude. When you reach wave 3 or wave 4, the sky is filled with enemy planes coming at you from many different angles. When you reach wave 7, you are shooting through patterns of bullets that you could never have imagined hitting in your first try.

After clearing each wave you earn points and harder enemy planes show up. There is no final boss, just endless difficulty until you make a mistake and your plane crashes.

Ways to Be Successful in the Air

Be always on the move. Staying stationary in one spot makes it easy to hit you. Keep changing your height to make yourself hard to hit.

Study enemy behavior. Each type of enemy plane behaves differently. Some fast planes dive quickly. Other slow planes absorb lots of damage. The aces are able to use advanced techniques to perform their flying skills. Learning what you are fighting against allows you to make adjustments to your flying techniques.

Don’t pursue every kill. Your plane fires automatically whenever the enemy plane is in firing range. Concentrate on staying alive and in position. The kills will follow.

Play across the entire screen. Do not hang around the upper or lower edges of the screen. Fly at all heights to prevent yourself from being surrounded by enemy planes approaching from both sides.

Observe visual clues. Enemy projectiles are visually distinct. Once you see them early, you will know to react before they become unavoidable.
